Tiles and floors that are still watertight years later

With floors you see the result immediately — but the mistakes only later. A bathroom that was not properly waterproofed, screed that was still too damp under the vinyl, a forgotten movement joint: those are the failures that get expensive. We check the substrate before the first tile goes down.

  • Tiling in bathrooms, kitchens, hallways and commercial areas
  • Large formats and porcelain laid buttering-floating
  • Compliant bonded waterproofing in wet areas
  • Vinyl, LVT and click flooring on a tested substrate
  • Residual moisture measurement before laying
  • Skirtings, transition profiles and clean silicone joints

Large-format tile in adhesive with levelling clips and bonded waterproofing on the wall
Tiling & Vinyl Flooring · Rüsselsheim am Main · Rhein-Main

Waterproofing: the work you never see again

Under every tile in a wet area belongs a bonded waterproofing layer — applied over the full area, with sealing tape in every corner and collars at every pipe penetration. It is the first layer dropped when someone wants to save money, and it is precisely what stops water running unnoticed into the structure for years.

Large formats need a level substrate

The bigger the tile, the less it forgives unevenness. We level the substrate beforehand and lay using the combined method so no void remains beneath the tile. Voids are the reason large-format tiles crack later.

Vinyl: residual moisture decides

Design floors are easy to maintain and warm underfoot, but sensitive to moisture from below. We measure the residual moisture of the screed and only lay once the reading is right. With underfloor heating we also check the commissioning heat-up protocol has been signed off.

Frequent questions

Can vinyl be laid over existing tiles?

Often yes, provided the tiles are sound and the joints are filled. We check adhesion and levelness first and tell you whether a levelling layer is needed.

How long does a complete bathroom take?

For waterproofing, tiling and grouting in a standard bathroom we normally allow four to six working days, depending on format and cutting.

Do you remove the old covering?

Yes, removal and proper disposal can be included. We show it as a separate line in the quotation.
